30 Harvests

What would you do if you only have 30 harvests left?

Can farmers and ranchers solve the world’s biggest problems — creating sustainable food systems and solving climate change — in just 30 harvests? Feeding more than 7 billion people by 2050 on less land, with fewer resources than ever and sustainably to protect the environment is a big ask. 30 Harvests takes viewers to Jay Hill’s farm in Dell City, Texas, as he strives to make his farm carbon negative. Hill along with farmer and soil scientist Meagan Kaiser of Bowling Green, Mo., shine a light on the challenges this generation of agriculturists face and the opportunities to create sustainable food systems and fight climate change.

BOOK

The Legacy of the New Farmers of America

A picture is worth 1,000 words. This historical picture collection showcases the history of the New Farmers of America through images from the past.

The New Farmers of America (NFA) was founded in 1927 for African-American boys studying vocational agriculture. NFA existed from 1927 to 1965, when it merged as a result of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 with what is now known as the National FFA Organization. The NFA has a rich history of contributing to American agriculture, as seen through the photos in this book.
