Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The 92nd National FFA Convention & Expo is almost here. It takes place in Indianapolis Oct. 30-Nov. 2, 2019, and is expected to draw approximately 70,000 FFA members from chapters across the nation. Are you planning to attend?

If you can’t make it this year, don’t worry. Thanks to social media, smartphones and the World Wide Web, there are plenty of easy ways you can engage from afar and share in the experience.

“Whether or not they can be there in person, it’s important for FFA members to participate in the National FFA Convention & Expo. This year, we’re making it more convenient than ever for people to remotely connect with the biggest FFA event of the year,” says Larry Downes, director of marketing and communications for the National FFA Organization.

1. Get the Latest News on Instagram.

Follow @nationalffa on Instagram to see photos and videos from the convention on the National FFA Organization’s feed, and be sure to check out the account’s Instagram Stories to see what other attendees are up to.

2. Watch the FFA Facebook Feed.

If you haven’t already, go to Facebook and “Like” the National FFA Organization page and make sure you’re following. That’s another great spot to consume convention content. Plus, be on the lookout for Facebook Live videos, which will give you the chance to see what’s happening in real time and converse with other viewers.

“Even if you’re not able to attend the National FFA Convention & Expo, you can still be part of the event and join the conversation by commenting and interacting with other members and attendees on Facebook Live,” Downes says.

3. Follow Along Using #FFA19.

No matter what form of social media you choose to use – such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter – you can stay up to date with other FFA members by following the hashtag #ffa19. Just type “#ffa19” into your preferred medium’s search bar to see photos, videos and thoughts from thousands of in-person attendees.

4. Tune in to RFD-TV.

Watch daily live broadcasts of the convention on RFD-TV by tuning to RFD-TV on your cable or satellite system. See your provider’s channel listings for details.

5. Keep an Eye on FFA.org.

Finally, don’t forget about FFA.org, where you can see live video footage of the convention on the homepage as well as archived videos after the event concludes. You’ll also have unlimited access to videos of sessions, the National FFA Officer Team election ceremony and much more – all for free.
