FFA –

As we move toward the fall, I’d like to welcome you to the 2021-22 school year. I hope your return to the classroom, chapter meetings and other member activities quickly reminds you why you became a member, advisor or supporter in the first place.

To our newest members and advisors, please know we’re thrilled that you’ve chosen to become a part of the FFA family, and we look forward to your future success.
The 2020-21 school year offered more challenges than nearly any of us have ever faced. Those unique difficulties tested us all, and for many of us, some challenges remain. But in FFA, we’re resilient. It says so right in our FFA Creed.

“[I believe] … in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better things we now enjoy have come to us from the struggles of former years.”

At National FFA, better days are ahead. We’re continuing to improve FFA at all levels to make sure our members find the organization relevant and rewarding.

I encourage everyone in FFA to move forward with intentionality. Take time to reflect on your challenges, learn from them and focus on embracing and enacting positive change. On the other side, I promise you’ll see a difference as better people, better chapters and a better organization.

The fall is an exciting time in FFA. New opportunities await, and chances to grow are plentiful. I hope you’ll try some new paths in our organization and grow from the experiences you’ve had. If you need some advice, get in touch with an experienced guide such as an older member, a fellow advisor, state-level leadership or national staff.

On behalf of the National FFA Organization, we look forward to serving you and your family. It will forever be our honor and pleasure to welcome more than 735,000 FFA members, families, and communities into our transformational program. We wish you luck and eagerly await your success.

Here by the Owl,

–James
