Crowdfunding for FFA Chapters Across America

ChapterBoost connects FFA chapters with people who care about agricultural education. Get funding for your next project, or help a chapter near you make it happen.

ChapterBoost is a crowdfunding platform run by the National FFA Foundation. It connects chapters directly with donors, so students can raise the money they need to bring their agricultural projects to life, no matter how big or small the idea.

The Process

Here’s How ChapterBoost Works

Chapters apply, get approved, and launch a fundraising campaign. Donors browse live projects and give directly to the chapters they want to support.

01

Chapters Apply

A chapter fills out a short application describing their project and fundraising goal. No complicated requirements.

02

We review and queue

Our team reviews each application. Up to 25 projects are live on the platform at any time, added on a first-come, first-served basis.

03

Your project goes live

Once your project is posted, it stays active for 4 months. We’ll send you a heads-up at 90 days so you can push for that final stretch.

04

Funds reach your chapter

When your campaign closes, you receive the funds raised. If you fall short of your goal, you can choose to accept what was raised or re-enter the queue.

For FFA Chapters

Ready to apply? Here’s what you need.

The process is simple. Fill out two forms, provide a short project description, and our team will take it from there.

Application Steps

  1. Complete the application form. Share your project idea, fundraising goal, and timeline at the link below.
  2. Describe your project. Include a brief summary of what you need the funds for and any materials that help explain your goals.
  3. Sign the funds agreement. If your request is over $1,000, an administrator must also sign off before we can move forward.
  4. Wait for our review. We’ll follow up with next steps after we’ve had a chance to look things over.

Good to know before you apply

  • Each chapter or association may have only one active project on ChapterBoost per year.
  • There are no formal reporting requirements once funds are received, though we love to hear how things went.
  • Projects are not judged on perceived importance. We trust your chapter to know what your members need most.
  • ChapterBoost does not fund professional development or continuing education for adults.

Fee note
A 5% administrative fee applies to all projects. To make sure you receive your full goal amount, we automatically add 6% to your target when your project is posted. For example, if you need $1,000, we list your goal at $1,060.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Here are some things people often ask before applying or donating.

As a donor, how do I know my money goes to the right place?2026-05-11T16:08:08-04:00

ChapterBoost is run by the National FFA Foundation, which has a long track record of supporting agriculture education. Every project on the platform has been reviewed and approved before it goes live. You can browse projects, read what each chapter is raising money for, and give directly to the one you want to support.

Is there any reporting required after we receive funds?2026-05-11T16:04:13-04:00

There are no formal reporting requirements. That said, we always appreciate photos, updates, and thank you notes we can share with donors and our broader community. It helps show the real impact your chapter is making.

What happens if we don’t reach our fundraising goal?2026-05-11T16:03:33-04:00

If your project doesn’t reach its goal after 4 months, you have two options. You can accept the amount raised so far, or you can re-enter the queue and pick up where you left off once your project goes live again. We’ll send a reminder email at the 90-day mark so your team has time to plan.

How does the review and posting process work?2026-05-11T16:02:54-04:00

After you apply, our team will review your submission and place it in a queue. When space opens up (25 projects can be live at one time), we’ll email you to confirm you still want to move forward. Projects go live on a first-come, first-served basis.

What kinds of projects can chapters submit?2026-05-11T15:58:51-04:00

Chapters can apply for a wide range of projects. Some examples include classroom supplies, student registration fees, capital improvements like greenhouses or garden spaces, and new program materials. The main thing we ask is that projects support your chapter’s mission and benefit your members. We don’t fund professional development or continuing education for adults.

Why should my chapter apply for ChapterBoost?2026-05-11T15:58:02-04:00

ChapterBoost gives chapters a way to raise money beyond what their school or local budget can provide. It also helps you share your story with a wider audience and connect your community to your mission. The National FFA Foundation supports you through the whole process, from the application to running your campaign.
