In Idaho, the Gooding FFA Chapter found a special way to pay homage to individuals who embody the ultimate meaning of service and sacrifice. Thanks to partnerships with local veterans organizations and the SkillsUSA class at Gooding High School, advisor Tom Woodland and his FFA members create and deliver handmade plaques and signs to retired veterans in their state. In addition to a customized plaque featuring each veteran’s name, years of service and military branch(es), all selected veterans receive a “USA Veteran Lives Here” sign that can be displayed outside their home.
