There are many reasons to love the month of February as an FFA member. However, navigating the multitude of activities can require some extra support. Despite being the shortest month of the year, February is packed with activities, deadlines and events that can easily overwhelm even the most veteran of agriculture teachers. Fortunately, National FFA Alumni and Supporters have opportunities to step in and help carry the load. Here’s how.

1. Assist in Person

National FFA Week has been celebrated for more than 70 years. During this week, alumni and supporters can help brainstorm and pull off activities such as FFA breakfasts, community service events and much more.

2. Assist From Your Desk

Everything from proficiency awards to letters of recommendations come due in February.

Volunteering to proofread during this month can save students and teachers hours, and can offer a new set of eyes to these documents.

3. Assist From Your Phone

Maybe you travel for work or need to spend time on the farm. Help your FFA chapter by making phone calls to local businesses to drum up support or to encourage local media to cover the great work being done in the school.
