If your plans for Nov. 1-4 include attending the 96th National FFA Convention & Expo, it’s time to start preparing. Consider these things to ensure you’re ready.

1. Check the weather.
Look at the Indianapolis weather forecast for the dates you’ll be in town and pack accordingly. Remember to bring your Official Dress!

2. Know the rules.
All attendees are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct and the FFA Code of Ethics. Visit Convention.FFA.org/A-Z-Information-Guide for a refresher and to review the prohibited items list.

3. Get the app.
Download the National FFA Events App (available on the Apple Store and Google Play) to see the full list of events and where they’ll take place, including general sessions, workshops, community service opportunities, awards ceremonies and entertainment.

4. Plan off-site activities.
As one of the most walkable downtowns in the U.S., Indianapolis leaves little to be desired. Talk to your advisor about trying a local restaurant as a chapter or getting a group together for an educational tour or sightseeing excursion.

5. Stay connected on social media.
Follow the National FFA Organization on Instagram (@nationalffa) and Facebook to stay in the know. When posting your own convention-related content and updates, use the hashtag #FFA23.
