Buy bacon. Support FFA.

That sounds like a pretty good deal, right? Well, now is the time to take advantage! From now through Sept. 30, Farmland will donate $0.10 of its sales of bacon, sausage and ham to the National FFA Organization – up to $75,000.

The partnership was announced Aug. 10:

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 10, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Farmland, a leading brand of bacon, sausage, and ham, is proud to partner with the National FFA Organization, formerly known as Future Farmers of America, to support the future of agriculture. With every Farmland item purchased now through September 30, Farmland will donate $0.10 to FFA, up to $75,000. These donations will help FFA continue to further its mission of making a positive difference in the lives of students and shine a light on the agricultural industry.

“Since 1959, Farmland has been partnering with local American farmers to provide our loyal consumers with food they can trust and feel good about serving to their families. We are honored to partner with FFA to continue inspiring America’s future farmers to produce quality foods and raise awareness of the importance of agricultural education,” said Megan Thomas, senior brand manager for the Farmland brand at Smithfield Foods.

In addition to the donation, Farmland will provide grants to four Midwestern FFA chapters later this year, providing financial support to high school students working on animal care projects. On Oct. 25- 28, Farmland will be a sponsor of the 90th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. The convention, which is one of the largest annual student conventions in the world, will host nearly 64,000 FFA members, vendors and guests from across the country.

“We’re thrilled to work with brands like Farmland that share our dedication and passion for the farming community. Our goal is to develop students’ potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education, and we couldn’t do this without the support of our partners,” said Molly Ball, president of the National FFA Foundation.

Participating Farmland products include everything from Farmland bacon and breakfast sausage to boneless ham and lunch meats. These Farmland products are available in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
