DOCUMENTARY

COWBOYS: A Documentary Portrait
Ride alongside modern-day cowboys for a look inside this 200-year-old lifestyle.

While many say the cowboy breed is dying, this film suggests otherwise. Released in November 2019, this documentary is a fresh outlook on the modern cowboy lifestyle. The film documents eight of the world’s largest cattle operations across 10 U.S. states. Some span more than 1 million acres, and most still employ teams of horseback ranch hands that maintain large herds of cattle. Cowboys face some of the same struggles today that they did over 200 years ago, such as drought, disease and isolation, but they persevere despite these daunting challenges. Take a journey with these men and women as they narrate their own Wild West stories. thecowboymovie.com
