National FFA Organization Seeking Applicants for National Days of Service

INDIANAPOLIS (Friday, May 8, 2020/National FFA Organization) – FFA members across the country have a heart for service — and this October, they want to give back to the Circle City.

Each year, during the National FFA Convention & Expo, Oct. 28-31, 2020, students have the opportunity to participate in the National Days of Service – where students can give back to the local Indianapolis community.

In 2019, more than 2,000 FFA members participated in National Days of Service, resulting in a $168,000 economic impact and competing more than 6,600 service hours.

“Our members have indicated to us that they feel volunteering is an essential part of their personal growth,” said Daniel Buergler, program manager at the National FFA Organization. “National Days of Service offers our members that opportunity during our national convention. We’re seeking locations who can help us provide that opportunity to our students.”

Today, the National FFA Organization is looking for areas in the greater Indianapolis area where members can volunteer in October. If you are interested in participating in the National Days of Service, you can apply https://form.jotform.com/FFALocalEngagement/2020-ffa-ndos-test-application.

Applications close on Monday, June 15, 2020.
