2026 State Officer Summit

The State Officer Summit is a five-day advocacy training open to all state officers. Training will focus on serving as an advocate for agriculture and FFA and developing clear and consistent messages related to agriculture and FFA.
The 2026 State Officer Summit will be held July 13-17, in Washington, D.C., at the Omni-Shoreham Hotel. We invite all state officers to attend the entire conference, as delegate activities are integrated into the event. This integration includes sessions specific to leadership delegate state officers and non-leadership delegate state officers. Legislative visits remain a vital piece of the State Officer Summit experience.
2026 student registration fees are $475 per student for the entire experience. State staff registration fees are $800 for dual occupancy and $1,100 for single occupancy. The fees include four nights of lodging beginning Monday, July 13, 2026.
Registration for the event will open on Wednesday, May 13, and close on Monday, June 29. A conference planning guide includes details on the event. Email summit@ffa.org with questions.

Base Camp

Base Camp is a standard three-day experience for all state FFA officers, ideally hosted within 30 days of officer election. Focus areas addressed in a blended format include sound character, positive influence, professionalism and time management. Additionally, this experience will enroll students into the entire State Officer Leadership Continuum and the State Officer Academy learning management system.

Checkpoint

Checkpoints include up to two additional in-state training experiences delivered during a time that is convenient for state FFA staff and officers. These trainings can cover the following focus areas: successful workshops, public speaking, conversation skills, and team dynamics.
