Technology is the future, and John Deere has some of the most advanced technology in the world. This is going to require a new level of service technician. The John Deere TECH program provides students with what they need to be a part of this new world. Future technicians will be critical to the success of John Deere, John Deere Dealers, and the communities they serve.

Deere & Company established the John Deere TECH program in 1989 and now sponsors programs at 24 colleges throughout the U.S. and Canada. Students can work on the latest equipment and technology, and with 2,000+ John Deere Dealerships throughout the U.S. and Canada, opportunity is right around the corner.

Students take John Deere exclusive training courses related to engines, fuel systems, transmissions, electrical, hydraulic, and precision ag technology, and they benefit from one unique aspect of the John Deere TECH program: the John Deere Dealer sponsor.

Being sponsored by a dealer, John Deere TECH students receive:

  • Hands-on internships with a John Deer Dealer.
  • Experience working on the latest equipment and technology.
  • Tuition and tool assistance.
  • Job placement after graduation.

Benefits of becoming a John Deere technician:

  • Advanced Training – Attend college through the John Deere TECH program or go straight to work and receive accelerated training. Either way, avoid student loan debt with dealer support opportunities.
  • High-Demand – Service Technicians are in high-demand in this growing field, and John Deere Dealers offer competitive compensation.
  • Rewarding Work – Service technicians are the foundation of John Deere. They are the trusted advisors our customers rely on when they need help.
  • Career Advancement – Starting as a technician gives you the equipment, technology, and customer experience to advance to any position within the dealership from Service or Parts Manager to Precision Ag Technology Manager or Sales.

Admission Requirements:

  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Secure a sponsorship with a John Deere Dealer.
  • Meet college admission and academic requirements.
