FFA advisors and members across the country rely on FFA Alumni and Supporters to help support their chapters through the gifts of time, talent, and resources. How did FFA Alumni and Supporters’ experiences in FFA make them want to give back to the organization? The following findings are from a survey conducted in Spring 2023 through the Forever Blue Network.

• 93% of surveyed FFA Alumni and Supporters report that FFA positively affected their career.
• 84% have worked in agriculture.
• Nearly 60% of those surveyed reported they are currently in a senior-level position or higher at work.¹

Being a part of my local FFA Alumni and Supporters chapter is something I am very proud of.”

There are many paths to FFA Alumni and Supporters membership.

• While the majority (84%) of FFA Alumni and Supporters surveyed identified themselves as former FFA members, 16% identified themselves as supporters.
• Types of supporters included current parents of FFA members, parents of previous student FFA members, and other affiliations, including corporate partners, spouses of FFA advisors, or state or national FFA staff.
• It’s never too late or too early to join FFA Alumni and Supporters. A little more than one in three survey respondents (36%) indicated they have been involved in FFA for over 20 years, while others have been involved for just one to three years (4%).
• Most respondents (58%) say their FFA involvement spans four to 19 years.

Over 500 registered users of the Forever Blue Network responded to this survey to tell us about their FFA experience as well as provide other feedback; the feedback provided by respondents will impact future decisions for the FFA Alumni and Supporters.
