Meet Elizabeth Hammann
Elizabeth Hammann is a senior at Carlinville High School and a proud member of the Carlinville FFA Chapter in Illinois Section 15. She has been involved in FFA for four years, and during that time, she has dedicated herself to learning, leading, and helping others.
Carlinville FFA provides students with opportunities to explore agriculture, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience in career-related events. Hammann has embraced all these opportunities, participating in chapter meetings, competitions, and community service projects. Through these experiences, she has grown personally and professionally while supporting her peers.
Her Leadership Journey
Hammann served in several officer roles, each allowing her to contribute to her chapter in meaningful ways:
- Chapter Secretary (2023–24): Maintained chapter records, assisted with organizing events, and supported the smooth operation of the chapter during her sophomore year.
- Chapter Vice President (2024–25): Helped lead meetings, coordinated committees, and assisted the president in chapter leadership responsibilities during her junior year.
- Chapter President (2025–26): Currently serving as president, Elizabeth oversees chapter activities, encourages member participation, and helps guide new officers while balancing her responsibilities with schoolwork and FFA events.
These leadership positions have strengthened her communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, preparing her for continued success in FFA and beyond. Her peers often look to her for guidance, and she has helped foster a positive, welcoming environment for all chapter members.
Support and Influences
Throughout her FFA experience, Hammann has built meaningful friendships that have enriched her time in the organization. She also continues to be influenced by her father, who previously served as her chapter’s FFA advisor. His guidance helped her start her leadership journey and still inspires her work ethic, confidence, and commitment to FFA today.
Hammann also benefits from mentorship and support from her peers and other advisors. These relationships helped her develop strong leadership skills and a greater understanding of teamwork, problem-solving, and responsibility.

Favorite Career Development Events
Hammann enjoys participating in Dairy Foods and Job Interview events. These competitions give students practical experience and help them prepare for future careers in agriculture and related fields. Beyond developing skills, these events provide opportunities to build confidence, meet peers from other chapters, and demonstrate leadership in real-world settings.
Her involvement in these events also shows how FFA encourages members to challenge themselves, learn new skills, and gain experiences that go beyond the classroom. By participating consistently, Hammann has grown her abilities while contributing to her chapter’s success.
Impact and Inspiration
Even halfway through her senior year, Hammann is already making a lasting impact on her chapter. She demonstrates the value of dedication, leadership, and teamwork in every activity she participates in. Her efforts encourage other members to get involved, work hard, and embrace leadership opportunities themselves.
Hammann’s story is a great example of how FFA helps students develop personally and professionally. She shows that consistent involvement, support from mentors, and a willingness to take on responsibility can lead to meaningful growth and long-term success.
