Allie Koss, a University of Arizona freshman, describes her Supervised Agriculture Experience as a volunteer at Wild at Heart, a bird of prey rescue and rehabilitation center. Her work evolved from basic tasks like cleaning enclosures to leading educational outreach programs and managing her own bird release site, with classroom veterinary science courses directly supporting her hands-on skills. This experience inspired her to change her career focus from general veterinary medicine to wildlife conservation, and she encourages other students to embrace diverse opportunities within FFA.
