Victoria Harris – Worth It

This is Victoria Harris's 2017 retiring address as 2016-17 National FFA Secretary, titled "Worth It." Drawing on stories from a childhood speech contest, her biology teacher Mr. Ward who gave up his dream of becoming a doctor to teach, and an FFA member named Morgan who conquered a high ropes course, Harris explores what it means to genuinely care about others and ourselves. She challenges members to choose to care even when it's hard, uncomfortable, or unrewarded, arguing that caring is what makes the lives we live worth it.
