This is Shea Booster's 2019 retiring address as 2018-19 National FFA Western Region Vice President. Drawing on his childhood experience of being teased for his height while playing soccer, Booster distinguishes real victims from "why me" victims—those who willingly give away their power by blaming others instead of taking responsibility. Illustrated by the story of a blind student named Faith who refused to see herself as a victim, he challenges FFA members to recognize that victimhood is a choice and to instead choose to lead.
