Seth Pratt – Your Greenhouse

This is Seth Pratt's 2012 retiring address as 2011-12 National FFA Western Region Vice President. Using the metaphor of a greenhouse, Pratt argues that our environment shapes who we become and that we have the power to intentionally design surroundings that help us grow. Drawing on stories from his Idaho childhood, his sister Callie's journey to becoming a professional dancer, examples from agriculture across the country, and a conversation with fellow officers in Alaska, he encourages members to make deliberate choices about the people, habits, and influences they surround themselves with so inspiration becomes part of everyday life.
