Hickory Ridge High School FFA students present their service learning SAE project called First Steps, which aims to support mothers and babies facing poverty in their local Charlotte area. The students collected essential items like diapers, baby wipes, and menstrual products by partnering with professionals, local organizations, and school clubs to identify needs and secure donations. Through this project, the students developed important skills in record-keeping, communication, and teamwork while learning that effective collaboration requires listening to diverse perspectives and compromising on ideas.
