School Garden SAE

Two students from Shelbyville Central FFA chapter present their school garden SAE project, a vegetable production initiative growing beans, peas, sweet corn, pumpkins, and other crops. Their process involves designing the garden layout, selecting appropriate plants and care methods, and harvesting produce to donate to the Salvation Army, local farmers markets, and their school cafeteria. Despite challenges from excessive rainfall and pests, the students emphasize the value of hands-on learning and the opportunity to give back to their community while deepening their understanding of plant growth.
