Three 11th grade members of the Lyman Hall FFA chapter describe their supervised agricultural experience growing crops in a school garden and using their harvest to create food dishes like homemade salsa. Through their project, they developed employability skills including teamwork and cooperation, as well as technical knowledge about crop identification, safety, and sanitation practices. The students overcame challenges such as working in rain and removing weeds, and they credit their teachers with providing equipment, guidance, and support throughout the experience.
