Raising Quail SAE

Trace Ward, a 10th grader from Mississippi, presents his FFA SAE project raising Coturnix quail, covering daily care tasks like feeding, watering, and cleaning coops along with safety precautions. He describes the egg incubation process, which takes 17 to 19 days for quail eggs to hatch, and explains how his advisor Mr. McElroy guided him through this aspect of the project. Through field trips to agricultural facilities and hands-on experience with livestock care, Trace discovered his passion for animal husbandry and recommends starting a quail SAE project to other students interested in agriculture.
