Fiona Haggerty, a 12th grader from Lyman Hall High School, documents her SAE project mapping the Quinnipiac River Trail using ArcGIS mapping technology while working with the Quinnipiac River Trail Committee. Through this project, she developed skills in both canoeing and GIS data management, learning to paddle on rivers and transfer data across platforms while observing wildlife like mallards and river otters. Her SAE experience has prepared her for college and future careers while allowing her to combine her passion for nature with technology and community service.
