Layni LeBlanc – The Gray Area

This is Layni LeBlanc's 2019 retiring address as 2018-19 National FFA Secretary, titled "The Gray Area." Using optical illusions, the behavior of lemmings, and the Humans of New York photography project as examples, LeBlanc encourages members to move beyond simply seeing the world in black and white and instead ask questions to perceive more deeply. She shares her own Humans of Agriculture project and challenges the audience to embrace curiosity, empathy, and understanding by venturing into the gray area of the unknown.
