This is Kanyon Huntington's 2024 retiring address as 2023-24 National FFA Central Region Vice President, titled "The Comparison Trap." Drawing on childhood memories of a Venn diagram assignment, a misspelled word on a spelling test, and his high school track relay team, Huntington reflects on the harm of striving for perfection and measuring ourselves against others. He encourages FFA members to recognize that everyone is perfectly imperfect, to identify and embrace their own unique value, and to run their own race rather than falling into the trap of comparison.
