Abigail Hurst, an FFA student, created a nationally recognized agriculture education patch program for Girl Scouts as her SAE project. The program, developed in partnership with Girl Scouts councils, introduces young girls to agriculture through hands-on experiences at her school's land lab, including interactions with animals and learning about plant and animal systems. Hurst coordinated with fellow FFA members to lead the Girl Scout events, emphasizing the importance of clear communication, safety protocols, and record-keeping in bringing her agricultural education initiative to life.
