J.H. Reinhart, a 12th-grade student from the Buckeye FFA chapter, operates Healer River Game Birds, a supervised agriculture experience involving the production of thousands of pheasants, chukars, and quail for a local hunting club. Over three years, his operation has grown from 500 quail to over 10,000 birds annually, requiring daily tasks including feeding, watering, egg collection, and health monitoring. Through this enterprise, Reinhart has learned valuable business skills like record-keeping and cost tracking while gaining hands-on experience that he hopes will prepare him to eventually take over the hunting club operation.
