Breanna Holbert – What Do We Know?

This is Breanna Holbert's 2018 retiring address as 2017-18 National FFA President. Using the refrain "What do we know?", she challenges the audience to recognize the assumptions and stereotypes that create gaps between people, drawing on stories like urban farmer Tim Lewis, a language barrier with a host family in Japan, and a friendship with a very different camper named Tane. She urges FFA members to know the gap, embrace the gap, and love the gap by understanding, accepting, and celebrating their differences.
