Kristen Bauer, an 11th grade FFA member from North Dakota, developed an innovative SAE called Farm Chicks to Go, which rents incubator kits to classrooms and households for one-month periods. The kits allow students to experience the full chicken hatching process, from incubation through the chicks' hatching and early care, while Kristen handles the ongoing maintenance and management of the chicks after rental completion. Through this entrepreneurial project, Kristen developed leadership and public speaking skills while discovering the profound impact that witnessing chick hatching has on both students and teachers.
