Abigale Jacobsen – Behind Our Walls

This is Abigale Jacobsen's 2025 retiring address as 2024-25 National FFA Western Region Vice President, titled "Behind Our Walls." Drawing on childhood fears, a difficult phone call with her mother, and a vulnerability activity she led at Oklahoma FFA camp, Jacobsen explores how the emotional walls people build to protect themselves end up keeping them isolated and preventing genuine connection. She encourages members to take emotional risks, be authentic, and choose connection over protection by letting their walls down.
