This is Session 4 of the 2024 National FFA Convention & Expo, an aviation-themed general session opened by the national officer team and chaired by President Amara Jackson and Secretary Grant Norfleet. The session featured a recorded message from the U.S. Department of Education's Lucas Lucron, recognition of National FFA Proficiency Award finalists and Agriscience Fair winners, performances by the National FFA Chorus, and the retiring address of Southern Region Vice President Carter Howell, who spoke about mental health, self-worth, and seeing the good in oneself and others. Honorary American FFA Degrees, Distinguished Service Citations, and VIP Awards were presented, followed by a keynote from Dr. Temple Grandin on visual thinking and the value of different kinds of minds, and the announcement of Premier Chapter and Career and Leadership Development Event winners before adjournment.
