2023 Session 5

This is Session 5 of the 2023 National FFA Convention & Expo, chaired by Gracie Murphy and Andrew Seibel with a dog-themed banter throughout. The 1972-73 national officer team delivered the opening ceremonies, and the session presented Agricultural Proficiency Award finalists and winners across numerous categories, Agriscience Fair winners by plant systems division, the Premier Chapter award in Building Communities (won by Stillwater FFA, Oklahoma), and Career Development and Leadership event winners in areas including poultry, meats evaluation, and milk quality. The session also honored national officer mentors, introduced the 2023 national officer candidates, featured performances by the National FFA Band, and included the retiring address of National FFA Secretary Jessica Hur on the value of ordinary dreams and dream defenders.
