2022 Session 1B

This is Session 1B of the 2022 National FFA Convention & Expo. The session opens with the ceremonial calling of officer stations, presentation of colors by the Beech Grove High School JROTC Hornet Battalion, and remarks from session chair and National FFA President Cole Baerlocher, who frames the convention around Olympic gold medal moments. Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett welcomes attendees back to the host city, Interim National FFA Advisor Cheryl Zimmerman delivers the National Advisor's Welcome, and sponsors and supporters including Merck Animal Health, Corteva Agriscience, and the U.S. Department of Education's Dr. Amy Loyd are recognized, interspersed with performances by the National FFA Band and Choir. Four-time Olympic champion Tamika Catchings gives the keynote, sharing her story of growing up with a hearing disability and encouraging members to be BOLD—believe, be open to change, lead with love, and dare to be remarkable.
