2020 Session 5

This is Session 5 of the 2020 National FFA Convention & Expo, hosted by Central Region Vice President Mamie Hertel and National FFA Secretary Courtney Lehman, who guided the virtual session through a series of awards, challenges, and themed segments. The session recognized the National Chapter Award winners in strengthening agriculture (won by Streeter FFA of Illinois), agriscience fair finalists in the social science category, and numerous proficiency award finalists and winners, along with a musical performance by FFA talent Eros Villarreal and the presentation of a VIP award to William Scott. It also featured the retiring address of Southern Region Vice President Yomar Roman, who drew on the film Babe and lessons from his grandfather to talk about self-discovery and perseverance, and closed with a tribute segment honoring the national officers' mentors.
