2019 Session 4

This is Session 4 of the 2019 National FFA Convention & Expo, featuring opening ceremonies delivered bilingually in English and Spanish with members encouraged to respond in the language they felt most comfortable. Hosted by Southern Region Vice President Jordan Stowe through the self-care theme of "Jordan's Salon," the session included remarks from agriculture educator Rachel Knight on behalf of the National Association of Agricultural Educators, a mentor recognition segment honoring the national officers' advisors, performances by the National FFA Chorus, and an address from U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education Mick Zais. The session also introduced the 44 national officer candidates, recognized National Agriscience Fair winners across all divisions, and featured the retiring address of National FFA Secretary Lainey LeBlanc on perceiving beyond the surface by embracing the "gray area" and asking questions.
