2017 Session 7

This is Session 7 of the 2017 National FFA Convention & Expo, opening with the ceremonial roll call of officers and hosted by session chairs Ashley Willett and Valerie Earleywine around a television-themed program. The session honors retiring National FFA Band director Joe LaJoy and Chorus director Patti LaJoy with FFA bricks, features a retiring address from Southern Region Vice President Deshaun Blanding titled around trusting in the book of life, and includes performances by the National FFA Band and Chorus. Winners are announced for the Creed Speaking, Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Employment Skills, and Prepared Public Speaking leadership development events, followed by keynote speaker and magician Jon Petz, who uses magic and the story of a boy named Nathan to encourage members to create memorable moments and make an impact.
