The National FFA Organization formerly known as “Future Farmers of America” – was founded by a group of young farmers in 1928. Their mission was to prepare future generations for the challenges of feeding a growing population. They taught us that agriculture is more than planting and harvesting – it’s a science, it’s a business and it’s an art.

Today, more than 1,053,847 student members aged 12-21 in more than 9,591 chapters nationwide are engaged in a wide range of agricultural education activities. Students join FFA to explore a variety of careers in the food, fiber and natural resources industry. They are the next generation of leaders who will change the world.

INDIANAPOLIS (Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026/National FFA Organization) - The 99th National FFA Convention & Expo welcomed 72,907 FFA members, advisors and supporters to Indianapolis this week for four days of celebrating achievements, exploring careers and serving the host community. This year’s theme, “Evolve, Engage and Empower,” reflected an organization that has grown alongside agriculture for nearly a century and now includes more than 1.05 million student members.

Evolve, Engage and Empower: 99th National FFA Convention & Expo Returns to Indianapolis, Celebrating Members Shaping Agriculture’s Future

More than 70,000 FFA members, advisors and supporters are expected to head to Indianapolis this month for the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo. This year’s event runs from Oct. 21-24 with activities happening at the Indiana Convention Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the Indiana State Fairgrounds, local hotels, and several other locations around the state.

National FFA Announces Chapter Connect Participants

The National FFA Organization is proud to announce the latest cohort for the Chapter Connect program for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, which includes 32 chapters from 26 states, including Washington, D.C. This will be the second year of the program, incorporating 30 new chapters and two returning chapters.
