Investigate
To determine how you can best serve, you must find out what your community needs most. By investigating issues facing your community and what causes those issues, you ensure that you maximize the impact of your project.

Plan
For a successful project, determine community partners, set goals and break down each piece of what needs to be accomplished.
- Use the Community Service Planning Guide to help:
- Develop SMART Goals
- Brainstorm Community Partners
- Determine Action Steps and Timeline
- Create a Materials List and Budget
- Outline Your Project Plan
Serve
Put your plan into action and serve your community.
- Review your Project Checklist: Before diving into your service project, review your planning checklist. This helps ensure everything is in place—from supplies and roles to timelines—so your project runs smoothly.
- Prepare FFA Members to Serve: Get your students ready to make an impact. Set expectations, review responsibilities, and build excitement so they feel confident and motivated heading into the service experience.

Evaluate
Throughout the project, track your progress and gather results. When the project is complete, showcase your impacts, celebrate meeting your goals and recognize partners.
- Reflect and Gather Results: After your project, reflect on what went well and what could be improved. Collect feedback and data to measure your impact and guide future service efforts.
- Tell Your Story: Celebrate your chapter’s hard work by sharing your service story. Highlight the impact you made and the lessons learned to inspire others and recognize your efforts.
