Living to Serve Grants provide an opportunity for FFA chapters and state FFA associations/foundations to seek funding to support various types of service projects through a competitive application process.

Applicants must identify a community need that falls within one of four focus areas:

  • Community Safety
  • Hunger, Health and Nutrition
  • Environmental Responsibility
  • Community Engagement
Mini-Grant Day of Service

This mini grant provides alumni chapters or middle and high school chapters with up to $500 to conduct a one-time service event.

Dates:

  • Application Open: Always Open
  • Application Due: First of Each Month
  • Award Notification: 15th of Each Month

Reporting Due: 1 Month after project

Semester Long

This grant provides middle/high school FFA chapters with up to $1,500 per semester to implement a service-learning project in their community for one semester.

Fall Semester Long Dates:

  • Application Open: July 15
  • Application Due: August 31
  • Award Notification: September 15
  • Reporting Due: August 31

Spring Semester Long Dates:

  • Application Open: December 1
  • Application Due: January 31
  • Award Notification: February 15
  • Reporting Due: January 31
Yearlong

This grant provides middle and high school FFA chapters with up to $3,000 to support a service-learning project that spans an entire school year.

Dates:

  • Application Open: April 15
  • Application Due: June 15
  • Award Notification: August 1
  • Reporting Due: August 31
State Day of Service

This grant provides state FFA associations/foundations with up to $8,000 to support a state-level day of service event to engage FFA members.

Dates:

  • Application Open: October 1
  • Application Due: November 15
  • Award Notification: December 5
  • Reporting Due: December 1
