Why FFA in the USA?

There are many opportunities in FFA, such as competitions, conventions and so much more. One of those opportunities stands out a bit differently from the rest. It’s called FFA in the USA.
FFA in the USA is a National FFA program led by Mrs. Julie Woodard and many other hardworking members of the program. FFA in the USA is a remote opportunity, where students are encouraged to write articles that highlight agriculture and FFA.
Is it Just Writing?
FFA in the USA is not just about writing articles; while that may be its main goal, it provides so many other different opportunities. You receive monthly Zoom trainings, which teach you how to write quality articles and how to use the platform.
In addition, some meetings are set aside for parties, to network with other reporters and to hear from big names in the agriculture industry. For example, Courtenay DeHoff spoke at the FFA in the USA virtual Christmas party.

It’s Not Just a Story
As an FFA in the USA reporter, you are tasked with writing stories highlighting agriculture and FFA. You can share experiences, memories and deep rooted history with those who share the same love or a willingness to learn about this industry and organization. You learn to network and can bring light to organizations or people who have so much to share, but no way to share it.
How Will This Help Me?
Through training sessions, you are taught literacy skills, along with communications. Reporters are taught how to write articles that highlight both sides of a story. They’re taught how to communicate to find stories to write, and they’re even taught how to use this opportunity in their future career. FFA in the USA helps build its members from the moment their name appears on a list to the moment they write their final article. They grow to new heights that they never could have imagined.
FFA in the USA is an opportunity offered in FFA to meet new people and spark passion in different areas of agriculture. If FFA in the USA sounds like something you might be interested in, be sure to apply and check out some of the articles these hardworking reporters have written. No opportunity that you take is a wasted one.
