Opening New Horizons

Being part of the Atwater FFA for the past three years has opened doors I never knew existed. It’s shown me how far I can go when I have the right mentors leading the way. This program has given me more than just knowledge or skills—it’s given me people who believe in me, push me past my limits, and remind me that I’m capable of more than I ever imagined.

Our advisors have been there through every moment—the long nights before a big competition, the pep talks when nerves kick in, and the quiet encouragement when things don’t go as planned. They’re the voices that remind us to keep going, even when it’s hard. No matter what, I know they’ll always have our backs.

From day one, our advisors have been our biggest supporters. They hype us up before we step into the ring, listen when we’re frustrated, and celebrate every little win as if it were their own. They’ve pushed us to chase dreams we didn’t even know we had and to believe in ourselves when we wanted to give up. Their support isn’t just about helping us succeed—it’s about helping us grow.

Across the country, FFA advisors lead the next generation of agricultural leaders. They guide us through the highs and lows, whether they’re from our own chapter or another. They don’t just teach lessons from a textbook—they teach life lessons through their actions. They inspire, lead by example, and remind us what true leadership and service look like. No matter where life takes us, one thing is certain: they’ll always be in our corner, cheering us on and helping us become better versions of ourselves.

My advisors here at Atwater FFA have shown me that “Living to Serve” isn’t just a motto hanging on a classroom wall. It’s the countless hours they spend helping us with our SAEs, the advice they give before competitions, and the sacrifices they make to help us succeed.

More Than Just a Motto

“Living to Serve” is more than just words—it’s a way of life my advisors have shown me how to live. Through their actions, they’ve taught me that service is powerful, kindness matters, and believing in others can change everything. Because of them, I’ve learned that leadership isn’t about standing out—it’s about lifting others up.

Their example will stay with me long after I leave this chapter, reminding me to keep serving, believing, and showing up for others the way they’ve always shown up for me.
