Callie Zoeller Was Shaped by FFA

Imagine getting your start in agriculture through active involvement in FFA. The opportunities, experiences and connections gained can shape a person’s future in powerful ways. Just ask Mrs. Callie Zoeller, who was once an FFA member herself.
Mrs. Zoeller’s passion for agriculture began early. She grew up showing livestock and participating in various agricultural projects. Her father, a county Extension agent, and her mother, a math teacher, played important roles in supporting her journey.
During her time in FFA, Mrs. Zoeller competed in several leadership development events (LDEs) and career development events (CDEs). She was a member of the Greenhand Creed speaking team, as well as the livestock judging and range and plant identification teams. These experiences helped shape her skills and passion for agriculture.
Today, Mrs. Zoeller continues her work in agriculture as the Titus County Extension agent, following in her father’s footsteps.
Being highly involved in FFA played a major role in shaping Mrs. Zoeller into the person she is today. Through her experiences, she developed valuable life skills, such as time management, leadership and the ability to build lifelong friendships.
Mrs. Zoeller encourages students involved in FFA to keep pushing forward. Her advice is simple: “Never get discouraged, never give up and never be afraid to try something new or to fail,” she says.
Many individuals are shaped through their experiences in FFA. As stated in the FFA mission, “FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.”
