Hey National FFA! My name is Citlali Calixto, and I am from the Weld Central FFA chapter in the Rocky Mountain state of Colorado! In my state, I serve as the Weld Central FFA President, District XIV President, and one of two National FFA in the USA Reporters. Aside from these positions, I am also a part of the Shop FFA Style Squad! I also try to stay super involved in my chapter and state's FFA association. The events I have done are Creed Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking, Floriculture, and the Agriscience Fair. My start in FFA was a different than most people. I grew up in a suburb 25 minutes from Denver, with little to no involvement in the agricultural industry. I wasn't aware of FFA until freshman year when I decided to take a leap of faith and joined, competing in Creed Speaking. I have spent this past year advocating for agricultural education in suburban neighborhoods because I believe every single student should have the opportunity to put on a blue jacket and find their footing in this organization and the world the same way I did.
