Nick Wolfkuhl, a 12th grader from Richmond 44 FFA chapter in North Dakota, manages an outdoor recreation SAE with two main components: maintaining a mile section of the North Country Trail that spans from North Dakota to Vermont, and working at Crooked Lane Farms event center where he assists with setup, landscaping, and agricultural education classes. Through these experiences, he has gained an appreciation for agriculture's broad applications and the importance of community service, while discovering how outdoor recreation directly connects to agricultural practices. Nick encourages other students to pursue FFA for the learning opportunities and career exploration it provides, noting that his SAE work has influenced him to consider agricultural engineering as his future path.
