2024 Session 1A

This is Session 1A of the 2024 National FFA Convention & Expo. The session opened with a boy band-themed skit in which the national officers—Morgan Anderson, Amara Jackson, Kenyon Huntington, Carter Howell, Emily Gossett, and Grant Norfleet—played out a game of telephone about a "big engagement" before being introduced as the 2023-2024 national officer team, followed by opening ceremonies, the ceremonial roll call of officers, the presentation of colors by the Beech Grove High School JROTC, and the national anthem. Remarks and recognitions included a welcome from Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, an address from National FFA Advisor Dr. Travis Park on the convention theme of engagement, the parade of associations, acknowledgment of corporate and individual donors and the National FFA Sponsors Board, and performances by the National FFA Band and Chorus. Keynote speaker Kevin Wanzer closed the main program with a humor-filled talk on engaging through laughter, empathy, and acknowledgment, honoring longtime FFA member Dean Wren, before the session was formally adjourned.
