Steven Brockshus – Everlasting Impact

This is Steven Brockshus's 2014 retiring address as 2013-14 National FFA Central Region Vice President, titled "Everlasting Impact." Using the metaphor of a scale that fuels comparison, he argues that people are far more alike on the inside than they appear on the outside, and he shares personal stories about his parents' troubled marriage and his great-grandmother's final letters to illustrate the power of selfless, agape love. Brockshus challenges FFA members to stop comparing, forgive themselves and others, and embrace people for their core values in order to leave an everlasting impact.
