Victoria Maloch – When I Grow Up

This is Victoria Maloch's 2015 retiring address as 2014-15 National FFA Secretary. She challenges the audience to shift from asking what they want to be when they grow up to asking who they want to be, urging them to discover their purpose and reason for being. Drawing on stories from her year of service—a homestay visit in Japan, chaotic travel days with her suitcase, members she met across the country, and the sudden death of her ag teacher—Maloch illustrates how to find purpose in everyday moments, in service to others, and even in life's hardest times.
