Tess Seibel – Powerless to Purposeful

This is Tess Seibel's 2020 retiring address as 2019-20 National FFA Eastern Region Vice President. Using a childhood picture-day mishap and her diagnosis with an autoimmune disease, Seibel explores the difference between feeling powerless—fixating on what we can't control and waiting for answers—and living purposefully by taking action despite uncertainty. She celebrates the many ways FFA members, officers, staff, advisors, and families responded to the challenges of the COVID-19 year, urging the audience to focus on what they can do right here, right now.
