Amara Jackson – The Invitation We Miss

This is Amara Jackson's 2024 retiring address as 2023-24 National FFA President, titled "The Invitation We Miss." Through the story of cleaning her grandmother's house while mentally distracted, and later connecting meaningfully with an FFA member named Jackie, she argues that distraction leads to disconnection while awareness leads to a connected life. She encourages members to recognize their distractions, use reminders to stay present, and accept the invitation to live an undistracted, connected life focused on the people around them.
