Emily Gossett – Welcome Home

This is Emily Gossett's 2024 retiring address as 2023-24 National FFA Western Region Vice President. Through the story of her parents moving away from her childhood home, Gossett explores what it means to belong, reflecting on how a stranger's invitation to sit and a friend who stood by her redefined her understanding of home. She argues that a strong foundation is built on acceptance and community, concluding that home is found in people rather than places.
